Complex transition metal compounds at University College London

Transition metal sulfur containing organic compounds are versatile materials, which are used as high-temperature lubricants, hydrogenation catalysts and high-energy density batteries.

We are interested in developing new routes to transition metal sulfides via chemical vapour deposition and sol-gel processes. Therefore we are developing some  transition metal thiolates [M(SR)n ]  (Figure 1).
